These are sacs covered with single layer of membrane. These sacs contain digestive enzymes that digest big particles reaching into the cell. It washes out bacteria and virus also. If if by some reason a lysosome brusts the hydrolytic enzymes content inside come out and get scared in the cytoplasm dissolve all the cell organelles. It kills the cell due to which it is also called as sucidal bag of the cell.
