what are the functions of the plasma membrane

 plasma membrane is found in animal and plant cells. Following are its functions :-

1. It encircles all the internal material of a cell.
2.  it provides shape to a cell.
3. It allows different substance to go out and come into the cell.
4. It contain cell nucleus inside.
5. It also helps in transport.
